Synopsis

2018. Le monde est contrôlé par des corporations économiques telle celle de l'énergie, basée à Houston. Ces corporations dirigent des formations sportives pratiquant le rollerball, sport violent ne permettant pas l'émergence de vedettes individuelles. Jonathan E. brise ce tabou en survivant à des matches disputés sans règles, mettant ainsi à mal la philosophie même du rollerball et de cette société du futur : « Le jeu est plus grand que le joueur ».
